Privacy policy
Habits is built to keep your information on your device. The app has no accounts and no analytics, and it doesn't send your habits to us. This policy explains that in full, including the few places where some data is unavoidably handled.
Who we are
Habits is developed and provided by Ivan Lokas, an individual based in Croatia, at Put Šepurine 1, 22215 Raslina, Croatia. "Lokas Solutions" is a project name and is not a separate legal entity. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Ivan Lokas.
For data-protection purposes, the data controller is Ivan Lokas, Croatia, reachable at lokassolutions@gmail.com.
Information handled by the app
Habits does not require an account and does not automatically transmit your habits, completion history, reminder settings, preferences, or exported backups to us. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking tools. Apple and Google may still give us aggregate information, such as install counts and crash reports, through the App Store Connect and Google Play Console dashboards, under their own policies and your device's diagnostics settings; the app itself sends none of this.
Information stored on your device
Your habits, completion history, reminder times, and preferences (such as your theme) are stored within the app on your device.
Depending on your device and its backup settings, your operating system may include this information in a device backup managed by Apple, Google, or your device maker. Habits does not run its own cloud-backup service, and we cannot access those backups; they are governed by that provider's own terms.
Backups you export
Habits lets you export a backup file of your data. You decide where it goes: your device's storage, a share sheet, or your own cloud drive. We do not automatically receive exported backup files. We receive one only if you deliberately send it to us, for example as part of a support request. Once exported, the file is under your control, and wherever you store it is governed by that service's terms. Importing a backup reads the file locally on your device.
Notifications
If you turn on a reminder, it is scheduled locally by your device's operating system. There is no push server. A reminder may display the habit name you entered, so anyone who can see your device's notifications may see that name.
Support communications
When you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include, such as your device model, OS version, or screenshots. We use this only to answer you, investigate problems, and protect our legal interests, based on our legitimate interest in supporting the app. Support email is handled through Gmail, provided by Google. We normally delete support communications within 12 months after the request is resolved, unless we need to keep them longer for security, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes. Please leave out sensitive details unless they're necessary to solve the problem.
Website hosting
This website is delivered and protected using Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare may process limited technical information such as your IP address, the pages requested, timestamps, and browser or security-related data. This is needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep it secure. We don't use it to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites. Cloudflare may provide us with aggregated website traffic metrics and information about security events, and may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies when required to deliver, manage, or protect the website. Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in making the website available, maintaining its security, understanding its general performance, and preventing abuse. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general website usage and performance; Cloudflare states that this service does not use cookies or local storage to collect usage metrics.
Your privacy rights
Under the GDPR and applicable Croatian law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a portable copy where the right to data portability applies. Because the app doesn't send your habit data to us, we can't access, correct, or delete what's stored inside the app or in your own backups; you can remove that by deleting habits, deleting exported backups, and uninstalling the app. For information you sent us by email, contact lokassolutions@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
Service providers
We use Cloudflare to host and protect this website, and Google Gmail to receive and answer support email. Apple, Google, your device maker, your app store, or any storage service you choose may separately process information under their own terms.
International data transfers
Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, and information processed through their services may be transferred to or accessed from countries outside the European Economic Area. Where required, these providers state that they rely on recognized legal safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. More information is available in their respective privacy and data-transfer documentation.
Children
Habits is a general-audience productivity app and is not designed specifically for children. It requires no account and does not send habit data to us. If a child contacts support, we may receive the information in that message; a parent or guardian may contact us to request its deletion.
App stores
You download Habits through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those stores may collect information, such as download or purchase records, under their own privacy policies, which we don't control.
Changes to this policy
If the app or this site ever changes how data is handled, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
